The SUNY Cortland Baseball team completed a weekend sweep of The College at Brockport Golden Eagles yesterday, winning both ends of a doubleheader by scores of 8-0 and 6-4 yesterday. In the first game, Brandon McClain and two others combined on a 5-hit shutout. In game two the Red Dragons broke a tie by rallying for  three runs in the 8th and another in the 9th, then staved off a Brockport rally to win. Cortland is 19-4 and 8-0 in the SUNYAC, and had won 9 straight games.

The SUNY Cortland Softball team split a doubleheader at Oneonta yesterday. The visiting Red Dragons blew a 6-2 and fell 8-6 in Game 1 and won the second game 6-1. Sarah Salamone gave up one run on 4 hits to pick up the win. Cortland is 13-9 and 4-2 in the SUNYAC.

The SUNY Cortland Women's Outdoor Track and Field team placed 4th and the Men's team tied for 8th place at the University of Rochester's Alumni invitational meet yesterday.

The TC3 Baseball team split with Corning Community College in their Region 3 openers. The Panthers fell 5-1 in the opening game and took the nightcap 14-6. Tyler Mitoon (Lansing) got the win for TC3 and Sam Allen (Moravia) had 2 hits in Game 2.

In Minor League Baseball yesterday, The Syracuse Chiefs split a doubleheader with Scranton/Wilkes Barre yesterday, winning the first 3-0 and losing the second 5-0. The Chiefs are at Pawtucket tonight. Meanwhile the Binghamton Mets beat Akron 5-4 yesterday and will host Erie tonight.

In the AHL yesterday, Wilkes Barre/Scranton defeated Binghamton 6-2.
