Trevor Cooney tallied 18 points, including 4-8 from three-point range, as Syracuse knocked off Western Michigan 77-53 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Buffalo yesterday. Tyler Ennis added 16 points and 5 assists, Jerami Grant chipped in with 16 and CJ Fair recorded a "double-double" with 14 points and 11 rebounds. The Orange are 28-5 and will take on the Dayton Flyers Saturday night at 7:10 in Buffalo. The Flyers upset Ohio State 60-59 on a Vee Sanford layup with 3.8 seconds left in the game. Dayton is 24-10 on the season. Here the Syracuse/Dayton game on Oldies 101.5 starting at about 6:30 with the pregame show.

Congratulations to SUNY Cortland Wrestling Coach Brad Bruhn for being names the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference Coach Of the Year by his peers. Bruhn led the Red Dragons to a second place finish in the conference championships, despite the team being injury-riddled, an NCAA Nort6heast Regional title and a 6th place national finish this past season.

SUNY Cortland Sophomore Diver Miranda Fergus finished 13th, and is an honorable mention All-American, at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships in Indianapolis yesterday. Fergus will compete on the three-meter platform on Saturday.

The TC3 Baseball team fell to Community College of Baltimore County Catonsville 10-0 yesterday an is 0-3 on their Spring trip and the season.
