The Syracuse Men's Basketball team is the # 3 seed in the South Region of the 2014 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship Tournament. Syracuse is 27-5 on the season, but have lost 5 of their last 7 games. The Orange will face Western Michigan on Thursday afternoon in Buffalo. The Broncos are 23-9 and champions of the Mid-American conference, and are lead by Guard David Brown, who averages 19.4 points Per Game. Game time is 2:45 Thursday Afternoon. Follow the Orange in the NCAA Tournament on Oldies 101.5 beginning with the pregame show Thursday at 2pm.

The Orange have been picked to win the national championship by Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon.

Congratulations to SUNY Cortland Senior Forward Kevin McMahon from the Men's Basketball team for being named to the All-East Second Team by both D3Hoops.com and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. McMahon averaged 18.5 points and 9.7 rebounds per contest for the Red Dragons this season and led the team with 27 blocks. McMahon registered 11 " Double-Doubles " this season.

The Second ranked SUNY Cortland Women's Lacrosse team beat Ithaca College 12-7 yesterday, behind Erica Geremia's 5 goals and 2 assists and 11 saves from Liz Ingalls. Cortland is 5-0 on the season. Geremia and Ingalls were named the SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Player and Goaltender Of the Week this week, after leading Cortland to a pair of wins last week. Geremia set a career high with 10 points in a win over Catholic last Saturday.

Best wishes today to Miranda Fergus, a Sophomore on the SUNY Cortland Women's Swimming and Diving team. Fergus is at the Division III National Championships in Indianapolis this week. She will compete on the 1 meter diving platform today and the 3 meter platform on Saturday.

In the AHL last night, Binghamton lost to Albany 2-1.

Free agent Quarterback Michael Vick will meet with the New York Jets this weekend. Vick is considered to be the top signal-caller on the market this off-season. The Jets will be the first team he meets with.
