The Syracuse Men's Basketball team is the # 3 seed in the South Region of the 2014 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship Tournament. Syracuse is 27-5 on the season, but have lost 5 of their last 7 games. The Orange will face Western Michigan on Thursday afternoon in Buffalo. The Broncos are 23-9 and champions of the Mid-American conference, and are lead by Guard David Brown, who averages 19.4 points Per Game. Game time is 2:45 Thursday Afternoon. Follow the Orange in the NCAA Tournament on Oldies 101.5 beginning with the pregame show Thursday at 2pm.

Syracuse is # 14 in the final Associated Press regular season poll this week. The Top 5 are Florida, Wichita State, Virginia, Arizona & Louisville.

Congratulations to Tyler Ennis, who was named to the Basketball Writers Freshman All-American team. Ennis averages 12.4 points, 5.5 assists and 2.1 steals per game going into the NCAA tournament.

The Syracuse Women's Basketball team is also "dancing" again this year. In fact, the Orange drew a # 6 seed, tying the best seed drawn in program history. Syracuse will head to Lexington Kentucky and take on Tennessee-Chattanooga Saturday afternoon.

Mets Lefty Jonathan Niese had a cortisone shot to relieve inflammation in his pitching elbow and is expected to resume throwing today. Niese left a preseason game with the Cardinals after two innings and 35 pitches with discomfort in the elbow. An MRI showed no damage, just the inflammation.
