The Syracuse Orange Men's Basketball team is in Pittsburgh for the rematch with the # 25/23 Pitt Panthers. Game time is 7pm with a 6:30 pregame show start on Oldies 101.5. The Orange squeaked out a 59-54 win over Pitt on January 19th at the Carrier Dome.

Syracuse backup center Baye Mussa Keita traveled with the team to Pittsburgh. The backup center suffered a sprained knee in Sunday night's win over Clemson, and his status is still unknown.

Last night in the ACC, Notre Dame edged Clemson 68-64 and North Carolina State downed Wake Forest 82-67. The Wolf Pack will be the next opponent for Syracuse this coming Saturday afternoon at the Carrie Dome. Tonight, # 8/9 Duke is at North Carolina and Boston College visits Georgia Tech.

Also, the time for the Syracuse game at Duke next weekend has been pushed back from a 6pm start to a 7pm start to accommodate television coverage.

Former SU star Dion Waiters tallied 20 points and 8 assists in the Cleveland Cavaliers 109-99 win over Sacramento last night. The Kings meet another former Orange great when they play Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks tonight in New York.

The Cortland High School Boys Basketball team beat Chittenango last night 72-61. The Purple Tigers are 12-5 and 7-4 in league play on the season and appear to be headed to postseason play.

Former SUNY Cortland Assistant Football Coach, and SUNY Cortland grad, Jason Rebrovich has been promoted to Assistant defensive Line Coach with the Buffalo Bills. " Coach Rebs " was on Doug Marrone's staff at Syracuse for two seasons before moving with him to the Bills last season.

Four Spring teams at SUNY Cortland are ranked in preseason polls. The Baseball team is ranked # 10 by and # 15 by the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper and will open their season at Mary Washington this weekend. The Softball team is ranked 4th by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, after finishing as the nation runners-up last season. The Red Dragons open in Florida next month. The Men's Lacrosse team is ranked 3rd by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association, after a 19-1 season last year which ended in the national semi-finals. Cortland opens at Albright on February 22nd. The Women's Lacrosse team is ranked # 4 by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association and will play their first game of 2014 at Union on March 3rd.

Congrats to Remson NY native Erin Hamlin for capturing the Bronze medal in the Luge at the Winter Olympics in Sochi. A parade is planned in Remson to celebrate.
