The Syracuse Men's Basketball team is the Unanimous # 1 team in the latest Associated Press Men's Basketball poll. The Orange are the first to accomplish this since Duke achieved a six week run as the unanimous top team for six weeks in 2010-11. Arizona slips to # 2, followed by Florida, Wichita State and San Diego State.
Trevor Cooney tallied a career-best 33 points, including a single game, program record-tying 9 three-point baskets, and Syracuse slid by Notre dame 61-55 last night at the Carrier Dome. The Orange are 22-0 and 9-0 in the ACC. The 'Cuse is off until Sunday night when they host Clemson at 6pm. Oldies 101.5 begins the pregame at 5:30.
Tonight in the ACC, Wake Forest visits # 11 Duke.
Michael Carter-Williams scored 21 points in the Philadelphia 76'er's 108-102 loss to Brooklyn last night, Also, Carmelo Anthony's 36 points weren't enough, as the Knicks fell 101-98 at Milwaukee.
The SUNY Cortland Men's and Women's Basketball teams host New Paltz tonight at Corey gym. The Ladies tip at 6pm, with the guys scheduled for 8pm.
In Boys High School Basketball last night, Chenango Forks downed Dryden 54-34.
