The New York Jets beat the Oakland Raiders 37-27 yesterday, snapping a three-game slide. Quarterback Geno Smith threw for 257 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 50 yards and another score, while Nick Folk booted three field goals to lead the Jets. " Gang Green" is 6-7 and will travel to Carolina to take on the Panthers next Sunday at 4:05pm. We'll have the pregame show on the air at 3pm.

The Syracuse Football team will participate in the Texas Bowl on Friday December 27th in Houston. The Orange take on Minnesota, who went 8-4 on the season, 4-4 in the Big Ten. The Golden Gophers posted wins over both Penn State and Northwestern in conference play, while Syracuse lost to both teams in early-season non-league matchups.

The Syracuse Men's Basketball team is off until December 15th, when they travel to the Big Apple to take on St. Johns at Noon ... we'll have the pregame at 11:30 this Sunday.

SUNY Cortland Softball Coach Julie Lenhart has been named a 2014 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Hall Of Fame inductee. Lenhart has recorded 757 wins in her career, 6th best in NCAA Division III Softball, with 637 of those victories coming at SUNY Cortland.

The SUNY Cortland Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams placed 11th and 9th, respectively, at the Ithaca College Invitational over the weekend. Cornell won both team titles.

The TC3 Men's and Women's Basketball teams both fell at Herkimer Community College yesterday. The Women lost 56-54. Moravia's Meghan Ideman tallied 11 points and Groton Alum Ruthanne Forehand adding 10 for the Panthers. The Men lost 82-56 to Herkimer, who are ranked 5th in the nation.

Panthers Men's Soccer player Morgan Shutter has been named a 2013 NJCAA All-American, adding to his Mid State Conference Player Of the Year and All Atlantic Region team honors. Shutter finished with 24 points, on 10 goals and 4 assists this season.
