The Syracuse Men's Basketball team takes on the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the first round of the Maui Invitational Tournament tonight at 5:30pm Eastern Time. We begin coverage at 5pm with the pregame show. The Orange will play tomorrow at either 2pm or 7pm Eastern, depending on tonight's outcome.

The TC3 Men's and Women's Basketball teams swept North Country Community College yesterday ... the Men winning 81-59 and the Women winning 73-64. For the lady Panthers, Moravia Grad Meghan Ideman tallied 19 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals. Groton High grad Ruthanne Forehand racked up 14 points and 10 rebounds and Lansing Alum Taylor Policay added 10 rebounds and 3 assists.

The SUNY Cortland Wrestling team placed sixth at the New York State Collegiate Wrestling Championships held at Cornell yesterday. The host Big Red won the event with Ithaca College placing 8th. For the Red Dragons, Lou Puca placed second at 174 and Bobby Dierna was third at 149.

SUNY Cortland Freshman Linebacker Tristin Laurore has been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Rookie Of the Year. Laurore finished the season with 99 tackles.

Also for Cortland, Safety Frank Tucek is this week's NJAC Defensive Player Of the Week, after a 13 tackle performance in the loss to Alfred on Saturday. Tucek also forced a fumble in the contest.
