On the air this week: On Friday, the Syracuse Orange open their 2013-14 season at the Dome vs. Cornell ... we'll have the game starting at 6:30 with the pregame show ... tipoff is at 7pm.  The Orange defeated Ryerson of Canada 81-46 in their final preseason tuneup last night. C.J. Fair tallied 18 points, Dajuan Coleman added 11 with 10 rebounds and Rakeem Christmas recorded 10 points and 8 rebounds for the Orange.

On Saturday, it's SUNY Cortland Red Dragons Football, as they take on Morrisville State at 1pm ... with Pregame coverage at 12:25. Red Dragons Freshman Cornerback Carson Lassiter has been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Defensive Rookie Of the Week. Lassiter recorded two interceptions, 6 tackles and a pass breakup in the 10-9 loss at Rowan. Meanwhile, two local high school grads are part of the Morrisville State starting lineup this Saturday. Moravia Grad Jeremy Stewart and Cortland High Alum Caleb Wright are listed as starting Safeties on this weeks depth chart.

Today in SUNY Cortland sports, the Men's Soccer team plays in the State University of New York Athletic Conference Semi-Finals (SUNYAC) against Brockport at 1pm.

Former Cornell Hockey star Matt Moulson helped Buffalo to a 5-4 shootout win at San Jose. Moulson tallied an Assist and scored in the shootout.
