On the air this weekend, The SUNY Cortland Red Dragons travel to Glassboro New Jersey to taken on the Rowan Profs in a key NJAC battle. Join us at 12;25pm for the pregame show, with kickoff scheduled for 1pm. On Sunday, the Jets host New Orleans at 1pm, with a noon pregame start.
Senior Justin Autera earned both the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) and ECAC Southeast Special Teams Player Of the Week awards by virtue of his 97 yard kickoff return for a touchdown in SUNY Cortland's win over TCNJ last week. Freshman Linebacker Tristin Laroure's 13 tackle performance in that game earns him the NJAC's Defensive Rookie Of the Week and the ECAC Southeast Player Of the Week awards for last week.
The SUNY Cortland Women's Soccer team beat Wilkes 1-0 at Jets Field yesterday. Marathon Alum Rachel Parker scored the goal for the Red Dragons ... her first of the season.
The TC3 Men's Soccer team scored a 4-0 win over Erie Community College in an NJCAA Region 3-B Semi-Final game yesterday. Homer High Grads Andreas Tozser and Drew Christopher contributed a goal and an assist respectively in the win. The Panthers take on SUNY Adirondack in the Regional Final on Saturday at Herkimer Community College.
In High School Sectional play yesterday:
Section III, Class "C" Boys Soccer, with top seed Fabius-Pompey beat fifth seed Manlius-Pebble Hill 3-0 yesterday, and advance to the sectional final for the second straight year ... this year against West Canada Valley.
Today, the Fabius-Pompey girls take on Beaver River in a Section III, Class "C" contest.
