On Friday, our High School Football Game Of the Week takes us to Westhill High School in Syracuse, as the Warriors entertain the Cortland Purple Tigers ... game time is 6:30 pm  ... our pregame show starts at 6:15. Both teams lost last Friday night ... Westhill lost to Homer and Cortland to Marcellus.

On Saturday, the SUNY Cortland Football team begins the heart of the NJAC season with a home game against Kean at 1pm. Our coverage begins at 12:25. Cortland fell to St. John Fisher on Saturday. Oldies 101.5 has tickets to give away ... listen and win them.

The Jets will play next Monday night in Atlanta, after falling to Tennessee on Sunday.

Mark Sanchez is expected to undergo season-ending surgery to repair the torn labrum in his throwing shoulder. The Jets are expected to part ways with Sanchez during the offseason.

Paul Pasqualoni and George DeLeone have been fired at U-Conn after an 0-4 start this season. The Huskies were 10-18 under "Coach P".

The Syracuse Chiefs are going to be under new management. Board Of Directors President Bill Dutch and 5 other investors have agreed to lend the team 500,000 dollars in exchange for several hundred stock shares. The new management group will pick a new General Manager as well ... and John Simone will leave the team. He, and his father "Tex" ran the ball club for over 40 years.

In High School Sports yesterday, CBA beat Homer 2-1 in Girls Soccer and Cazenovia beat Cortland 8-1 in Field Hockey.
