Oldies 101.5 begins it's 22nd season of High School Football this Friday night at Ross Field in Groton when the Indians host the Lansing Bobcats at 7pm. Coverage begins at 6:45pm.

Also this weekend, the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons open up their home campaign at home vs. Buffalo State Saturday at 1pm. Oldies 101.5 begins coverage at 12:15 that day.

It is also opening weekend for the New York Jets as they host Darrelle Revis and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Met Life Stadium Sunday at 1pm. Oldies 101.5 begins coverage at Noon on Sunday.

Jets Coach Rex Ryan told the media yesterday that the offense is " his " offense now. Ryan was referring to Geno Smith, who will make his first NFL Start against the Bucs on Sunday.

In High School Sports yesterday: Boys Soccer ... Dryden bested Southern Cayuga 3-0. In Girls Soccer it was Cincinnatus over Redfield 5-3 and in Volleyball Dryden down Lansing 25-12, 25-15 and 25-15.

There's lots of SU Hoops news ... former Guard Scoop Jardine has left to play professionally in Greece, after Missing last season after 2 surgeries for a Fractured Foot. Meanwhile, former Guard Andy Rautins tallied 19 points in Canada's 89-67 win in the second round of the FIBA Americas Championship. Finally, Freshman Forward Tyler Robinson has been cleared by the NCAA for full eligibility after his transcripts were found to meet necessary standards for student-athletes.
