Oldies 101.5 begins it's 22nd season of High School Football this Friday night at Ross Field in Groton when the Indians host the Lansing Bobcats at 7pm. Coverage begins at 6:45pm.

Also this weekend, the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons open up their home campaign at home vs. Buffalo State Saturday at 1pm. Oldies 101.5 begins coverage at 12:15 that day.

It is also opening weekend for the New York Jets as they host Darrelle Revis and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Met Life Stadium Sunday at 1pm. Oldies 101.5 begins coverage at Noon on Sunday.

The Jets made it official yesterday ... with Mark Sanchez injured, the Jets are turning to rookie Geno Smith to be their starting Quarterback on Sunday.

Checking College Sports results from Wednesday: In Field Hockey it was Cortland over Elmira 8-1. In Volleyball, Cayuga Community College beat TC3 3-0 and in Women's Soccer it was Morrisville State over Southern Vermont 1-0 in overtime, with Cincinnatus Grad Bailey Rutan scoring her first collegiate goal to win it.

In High School Sports yesterday: In Girls Soccer Dryden beat Whitney Point 3-2 and Fabius-Pompey blasted Manlius-Pebble Hill 6-2. In Field Hockey it was Cazenovia over Homer 9-0 and Weedsport downed Cortland 4-1. In Boys Golf, Jamesville-Dewitt beat Homer by one stroke.

In Minor League Baseball it was Trenton over Binghamton 6-5 and Mahoning  Valley over Auburn 2-0.
