Oldies 101.5 begins it's 22nd season of High School Football this Friday night at Ross Field in Groton when the Indians host the Lansing Bobcats at 7pm. Coverage begins at 6:45pm.

Also this weekend, the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons open up their home campaign at home vs. Buffalo State Saturday at 1pm. Oldies 101.5 begins coverage at 12:15 that day.

It is also opening weekend for the New York Jets as they host Darrelle Revis and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Met Life Stadium Sunday at 1pm. Oldies 101.5 begins coverage at Noon on Sunday.

Jets Coach Rex Ryan calls the criticism over his trip to Clemson to see his son " Comical ". On the day NFL roster were trimmed to 53, Ryan was at his son's game. He says the cuts were already decided upon on Friday.

The SUNY Cortland Men's Soccer team picked up their first win of the season by beating Nazareth 2-1 in overtime in the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

Checking High School Sports from yesterday: In Boys Soccer, Dryden downed Whitney Point 3-1. In Girls Soccer, Homer shut out Mexico 6-0. In Field Hockey, it was Homer over Mexico 7-0. In Volleyball it was Dryden over Groton and Lafayette over Jamesville-Dewiit by 3-0 scores.

Former Cornell Men's Hockey Defenseman Doug Murray, who has spent time in the NHL with San Jose and Pittsburgh, had inked a 1 year deal with the Montreal Canadians worth a reported 1.5 million dollars.
