Yankees third basemen Alex Rodriguez was hit by Ryan Dempster of the Red Sox during last night's game. Dempster had thrown behind A-Rod earlier in the game. A-Rod would later Homer in the Yanks 9-6 win over the Red Sox.

Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman says he is no longer comfortable talking to A-Rod. He says all they exchange now is " Hello" and "Goodbye" because there are too many issues, some of them legal, going on.

A-Rod has also reportedly paid for the lawyer for Tony Bosche, the man behind the Biogenesis clinic. There was also a wire transfer for fifty thousand dollars sent to the firm, which was not accepted, according to ESPN.

In Minor League Baseball yesterday, Syracuse edged Indianapolis 3-2, Binghamton fell to New Britin 5-3 and Jamestown blasted Auburn 7-1.

The New York Jets will take on the Giants Saturday night at 7pm ... coverage will begin at 6pm on Oldies 101.5. The Jets evened their preseason record to 1-1 Saturday night with a lopsided win over Jacksonville.

The Giants will be coming off a 20-14 loss to Indianapolis this past weekend. The G-Men also lost Star Wide Receiver Victor Cruz and Center David Baas to minor injuries on the game's first drive. Both sets of X-Rays were negative.

Bills Rookie Quarterback E.J. Manuel underwent what is being termed a " very very minor procedure " by Head Coach Doug Marrone and the team. The Bills have said they will not look to add another quarterback to their roster.
