Michael Carter-Williams followed his 26 point, 9 turnover, NBA Summer League debut by comitting no turnovers but shooting just 4-19 from the field in the 76'ers 96-75 loss to the Indiana Pacers in Florida yesterday. James Southerland hit a three for the sixers in limited time and former Orange star Johny Flynn hit a three, dished out three assists and committed three turnovers for the Pacers in the contest. Flynn is trying return tothe NBA after playing in Austrialia last season.

In Minor League Baseball it was Binghamton falling short in a 9th inning rally and losing to New Hampshire 7-6 and Auburn stpping Williamsport 5-1. The Syracuse Chiefs had yesterday off and will host Buffalo tonight.

Derek Jeter is pushing the Yankees for an early return to New York. The Yankee Captain is currently in a rehab assignment at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre. The team'sa timetable has Jeter back with big club starting with the series with the Red Sox after the All-Star break, and Yankees brass has yet to say otherwise.

Meanwhile, the Captains for the upcoming Home Run Derby at this year's All-Star Festivities in New York have named their teammates ... almost. National League Captain David wright of the Mets has chosen Bryce Harper, Carlos Gonzalez and Michael Cuddyer, while AL Captain Robinson Canop has picked Prince Fielder and Chris Davis ... with one pick listed as " undecided ".

New York Jets Coach Rex Ryan was seen running with the bulls in Spain this past Sunday and Monday. Reports are that he ran twice and was not injured in either run. Jets Training Camp in Cortland starts in just over two weeks.
