The New York Knicks are reportedly set to acquire power forward Andrea Bargnani from the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Steve Novak and Marcus Camby. Camby will return to Toronto where he had the most productive years of his career. The Knicks will send a " sign and trade " player to the Raptors as well. Among the names being tossed around is Kenyon Martin, who says he won't give his blessing to such a deal.

NHL experts say the Buffalo Sabres did about as well as possible at the year's draft. Among the picks Buffalo took were defensemen Rasmus Ristolainen and Nikita Zororov and Fowards J.T. Comphery, Conner Hurley and Justin Bailey.

In Minor League Baseball yesterday, The Syracuse Chiefs blanked Rochester 2-0 and registered their second straight shutout against the Red Wings. Elsewhere Binghamton edged Trenton 5-4 and Jamestown got by Auburn 6-5 in 12 innings.
