Coaches and media have announced the High School All-CNY Boys and Girls Lacrosse teams for 2013. On the Boys side, Lafayette's Nate Beresovoy was selected, along with Nick Nye of Marcellus, the younger brother of recently-graduated Defender C.J. Nye of SUNY Cortland. The younger Nye is headed to Marist for college and Lacrosse. Two SUNY Cortland recruits did make the squad: Devin Phelps of Chittenango and Josh Pulver of Fayetteville-Manlius. On the girls side, Tully's Allison Bolt and Lafayette's Cassley Jackowski were named to the squad.

In Minor League Baseball, The Binghamton Mets blanked Portland 3-0 and Auburn edged Mahoning Valley 2-1. The Syracuse Chiefs had yesterday off to make the long journey back from Georgia, and will host the Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees tonight.

Alex Rodriguez is taking simulated at-bats at the Yankees complex in Tampa, but no timetable is in place for his return. Up next for A-Rod are some rehab games which could begin anytime. Meanwhile, Mark Teixiera's right wrist continues to hurt after a cortisone shot and over a week of rest. The Yankees first baseman hurt the wrist in March while preparing for the World Baseball Classic. Speculation of season-ending surgery is starting to pop up again.
