Pittsford native Abby Wambach scored four first half goals in Team USA Women's Soccer's 5-0 rout of South Korea last night. Wambach now has 160 goals in International play, and breaks the record of 158 set by Mia Hamm.

New York Jets Center Nick Mangold says he believes Mark Sanchez will win the starting Quarterback job over Rookie Gino Smith. Mangold says he thinks the team feels that Sanchez gives his team the best chance to win at this point. Mangold also said that Head Coach Rex Ryan's job may be on the line if the Jets struggle again this season.

The Buffalo Sabres have inked backup goaltender Jhonas Enroth to a 2 year extension worth about 2.5 million dollars. The team is not sure they will be able to reach a new deal with starter Ryan Miller, who's contract ends after next year. Trade rumors have already begun to surface.

In Minor League Baseball, Charlotte beat Syracuse 5-3, Binghamton edged Richmond 4-3 and State College topped Auburn 7-5.
