Sophomore Forward Jerami Grant and incoming Freshman Tyler Ennis will head to Prague, Czech Republic for the FIBA U-19 World Championships from June 24th through July 6th. Grant has made USA Basketball's squad while Ennis will represent Canada.

Three S.U. Football players have been names to the Athlon Sports/ACC Preseason All-America squads. Junior Running Back Jerome Smith is a First Team honoree, while Senior Defensive Tackle Jay Bradley and Junior Outside Linebacker Dyshawn Davis were both named to the Third Team.

SUNY Cortland Defensive Coordinator Ola Adams will take part in the Bill Walsh NFL Minority Coaching Fellowship Program this summer. Adams is one of 5 selections by the Chicago Bears and will be at their training camp Starting July 25th until the Red Dragons open up preseason camp in mid-August.

Game 6 of the AHL's Calder Cup Playoffs is tonight in Syracuse. The Crunch trail the Grand Rapids Griffins 3-2 in the series. If Syracuse wins, the deciding Game 7 will be in Syracuse on Thursday.

In Minor League Baseball, the Auburn Doubledays won their 5th straight season-opener last night, beating the Batavia Muckdogs 7-3 at home. The Syracuse Chiefs edged Charlotte 5-4 in 12 innings and the Binghamton Mets squeezed by Bowie 5-4.
