The Syracuse Crunch and Grand Rapids Griffins play Game 4 of the Calder Cup Playoffs tonight in Michigan. The Crunch trail 3-0 to the Griffins and need a win tonight to stay alive.

The Vancouver Canucks will place their AHL team in Utica next season. The announcement came yesterday by the parent team, which says that some renovations are planned for their home rink, the Utica "Aud", which currently plays host to Utica College and area high school games. The Canucks and Crunch have had ties in the past.

In Minor League Baseball. Binghamton and Trenton were rained out in New Jersey and Toledo beat Syracuse 9-7.

The Crown City Little League championship game has been pushed back to Monday night at 6pm due to the playoffs being behind schedule. Oldies 101.5 still plans to carry the game live at this time.

Four players with area ties are playing professional Baseball in the Independent " Pecos League " in Texas. The Alpine Cowboys, who are managed by former TC3 Assistant Coach Ryan Stevens, have former Panthers Billy Crowe, a former all-conference catcher, and Dustin Sandberg, who holds several offensive careers records at TC3, as well as Lansing native Brian Milliman and former SUNY Cortland Pitcher Scott Hartling on the roster. Hartling has four saves in 12 relief appearances for the Cowboys this season. Alpine is the defending Pecos League champion.
