Wide Receiver Steve Smith, who helped the New York Giants win the Super Bowl in 2007, has announced his retirement. Smith played six seasons, the last three plagued with knee problems.
The Syracuse Crunch defeated Wilkes Barre/Scranton 2-0 yesterday, behind Cedrick Desjardins'' 22 saves. The Crunch are up 2-1 in the series, with Game 4 scheduled for Friday Night at WB/S.
The Syracuse Chiefs fell to Gwinnett 10-1 last night, and are just 5-21 at NBT Bank Stadium this year.
The Binghamton Mets fell to Altoona 8-4 last night, and are playing at 10:35 this morning in a " Baseball and Education " special at NYSEG Stadium.
