Justin Sidebottom scattered two hits and led No. 3 Cortland to 3-1 victory over No. 2 Watertown in a Class A semifinal on Sunday. The Purple Tigers (16-4) will take to on defending champion and No. 1 seed New Hartford, 1 p.m. Monday at DeLutis Field in Rome. Sidebottom (5-0, 1.87 ERA) struck out five and allowed an unearned run. Sage Brown went 3-for-3 and drove in a run.

Connor Manderson cracked a two-run home run and Mark Chanatry pitched the win to lead defending Class A champion and No. 1 seed New Hartford to a 5-1 win over No. 5 Homer on Sunday. The Spartans (13-9) will play No. 3 Cortland 1 p.m. on Monday at DeLutis Field in Rome. Chanatry scattered two hits and struck out seven in holding Homer to just one run in the third inning. He aided his own cause at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Syracuse Takes on Duke for the NCAA Division 1 Men's Lacrosse Championship at 1pm at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

The third-seeded Lemoyne Dolphins hung on through a frantic final two minutes to beat No. 1 Mercyhurst 11-10, earning Le Lemoyne's first Division II national title since 2007.

Stevenson lost a big early lead before coming back to win its first NCAA Division III lacrosse championship with a 16-14 win over Rochester Institute of Technology on Sunday.

The Syracuse Crunch left the ice on Sunday night with a new lease on its Eastern Conference final series with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton with  a 3-2 win over the Penguins that tied their best-of-7 series at a game apiece

The Syracuse Chiefs finished off a four-game sweep of the Columbus Clippers with an 8-5 win on Sunday night at Huntington Park. Right-handers Jeff Mandel and Tanner Roark threw four innings of relief apiece, leading the Chiefs to their season-high sixth consecutive win.

The Binghamton Mets topped the Portland Sea Dogs 5-0 Sunday night at NYSEG Stadium.
