Rain and thunder in the area yesterday threw a roadblock into High School playoff action yesterday. One score from yesterday came in Section IV Softball, where Hancock defeated Marathon 14-6. Weather may be a factor today as well, with more showers and storms in the forecast.

The Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA's draft lottery and will have the first pick in the upcoming draft. Orlando has the second pick. Michael Carter-Williams, the former Syracuse guard, is regarded as a first round selection.

In Minor League Baseball the Syracuse Chiefs knocked off the Toledo Mudhens 7-5 and New Britin beat Binghamton 9-3.

In the AHL's Calder Cup Playoffs, Scranton/Wilkes Barre meets Providence in game 7 of the Eastern Semifinals tonight. The winner plays the Syracuse Crunch in the conference finals starting this weekend.
