The SUNY Cortland Women's Lacrosse team is headed to the NCAA Final Four for the third straight year after defeating Bowdoin College in Quarterfinal action yesterday 14-4. Freshman Erica Geremia  tallied a goal and 5 assists and set an NCAA tournament record for assists with 18 ... which she has a chance to add on to this Saturday as Cortland plays Trinity in the national Semi-Finals ... the two teams played in the same spot last year with Trinity scoring a 7-5 win.

The SUNY Cortland Men's Lacrosse team will host Western New England in the NCAA quarterfinals on Wednesday. Game time has not been announced as of this report. The two teams met in Cortland earlier this season with the Red Dragons winning easily.

The SUNY Cortland Baseball team is in the NCAA tournament for the 21st consecutive year. The Red Dragons first opponent will be RPI on Wednesday night at 7:45 at Falcon Park in Auburn.

The SUNY Cortland Softball team plays Lebanon Valley in a winner-take-all game for the right to advance to the College World Series in EU Claire Wisconsin. Cortland lost 6-3 to the Dutchwomen yesterday. The game begins at noon at Ithaca College.

In Other College Lax new from yesterday, The Syracuse Orange Men survived going 1-23 from the faceoff "X" and beat Bryant 12-7. Meanwhile, Cornell upset Maryland 16-8 yesterday on the road. The Orange and Big Red will be in College Park Maryland for quarterfinal games this weekend. The Orange play Yale while the Big Red take on Ohio State on Saturday.

The O.C.C. Men's Lacrosse team beat Nassau Community College 15-11 yesterday to win their 5th straight NJCAA title and 70th consecutive game.

Finally the Syracuse Women's Lacrosse team routed Dartmouth 21-8 yesterday to advance to the NCAA Quarterfinals. Up next for the Orange ladies is Florida at the Dome next Sunday.
