The SUNY Cortland Men's Lacrosse team, winners of 36 or their last 37 games, begin their postseason run today at the stadium complex, where they host Potsdam for a SUNYAC Semifinal game starting at 4pm. The two teams closed the regular season just four days ago, with Cortland winning that meeting 15-5.
The SUNY Cortland Softball team closed their regular season with a doubleheader sweep of Nazareth yesterday by scores of 1-0 and 10-2 (6 innings). The 24-14 Red Dragons head to the SUNYAC Tournament starting tomorrow at Brockport ... they'll meet New Paltz in the First Round.
The TC3 Baseball team Split a twin bill with Broome C.C.. yesterday .... losing the first game 7-6 in 12 Innings and winning the second game 6-3.
Checking the High School scoreboard from yesterday: In Boys Lacrosse: it was Cortland over Fulton 14-6, Jamesville-Dewitt downed Homer 16-7, Tully over Onondaga 14-8 and Lafayette over Manlius-Pebble Hill 22-3. In Girls Lacrosse: Mexico edged Homer 11-10 and Cazenovia over Tully 16-10. In Baseball, Bishop Grimes beat Fabius-Pompey 6-0, CBA beat Cortland 16-8, Homer defeated Fulton 9-2, Pulaski downed Lafayette 13-1, Auburn beat Moravia 20-10 and Tully Blanked Cato-Meridian 1-0. In Softball, Fulton downed Homer 20-8, Fabius-Pompey over Bishop Grimes 7-2. CBA blanked Cortland 3-0, Cato-Meridian beat Tully 11-3 and Pulaski downed Lafayette 5-3.
