Checking the High School scoreboard from Monday: In Girls Lacrosse: Cortland Over New Hartford 15-5, ES-M over Homer 13-6, Tully downed Chittenang0 17-6 and Lafayette over Cazenovia 11-8. In Baseball;;, Homer beat ES-M 6-2, Lansing toppled Marathon 12-9, Fabius-Pompey edged Cato-Meridian 4-3, McGraw over Madison 17-3 and Tully over Onondaga 12-7. In Softball, Union Springs over Marathon 13-5, ES-M edged Homer 3-2, Fabius-Pompey outlasted Cato-Meridian 23-12, Onondaga bested Tully 12-4 and Madison squeezed by McGraw 11-10. In Boys Tennis it was Bishop Grimes over Lafayette 5-0. In Track and Field, the Dryden Boys and Girls swept Marathon, Moravia and Cincinnatus, Moravia posted wins over Marathon and Cincinnatus and Marathon ran by Cincinnatus and a four-team, multi-duel meet at Marathon.
The SUNY Cortland Baseball team hosts Mount Saint Mary for a single game at Wallace field starting at 3:30pm. The Women's Lacrosse team finishes a six-game road swing at Potsdam today and the Women's Tennis team is at Misericordia.
The TC3 3 softball team was swept by Herkimer C.C. by scores of 20-1 and 13-2 yesterday.
J.R. Smith was named the NBA's best " Sixth Man " yesterday. The Knicks guard averaged 18.1 points per game off the bench, including 29 games in which he exceeded 20 points. The Knicks, up 1-0 in their Eastern Conference series with Boston, host the Celtics tonight.
