The SUNY Cortland Softball team split with the Plattsburgh Cardinals in the north country yesterday ... losing the first 6-1 and clobbering three homers in an 11-3, 6 inning, win in the nightcap ... A doubleheader at St John Fisher scheduled for today has already been postoponed due to weather.

Also postponed for today is the SUNY Cortland Baseball twin bill at Oswego ... they'll try again tomorrow.

The TC3 Softball team took two from Mohawk Valley C.C. yesterday ... by scores of 7-4 and 6-2 ... and earned their first sweep of the season.

In High School Sports Yesterday: Boys Lax: Tully over Clinton 16-4. In Girls Lacrosse,  Cazenovia beat Cortland 13-7 and Lafayette over Jordan-Elbridge 9-7. In Baseball, Dryden beat Union Springs 3-2, McGraw defeated DeRuyter 26-3. Brookfield downed Cincinnatus 17-1 and Lafayette beat Stockbridge Valley 6-5. In Softball, Groton over Marathon 9-3, McGraw over Deruyter 13-6, ES-M over Cortland 13-7 and Stockbridge Valley over Lafayette 4-1./ In Boys Tennis, Jamesville-Dewitt over Cortland 6-1,Fulton over Homer 6-1 and Lafayette over Onondaga 4-1.

Trade talks for New York Jets Cornerback Darelle Revis are on hold for the moment ... because an MRI that Revis underwent yesterday indicated that he ahead of schedule in his rehab program on his knee ... and that he might be ready for the start of 2013 season ... which could increase his price tag on the trading block.
