The SUNY Cortland Softball team swept a doubleheader with Potsdam yesterday, by scores of 12-6 in the opener and 12-2 (5 innings) in the second game. The Red Dragons are at Plattsburgh today ... both doubleheaders are make ups of dates postponed by weather over the weekend.

The TC3 Men's Lacrosse team fell to Dean College 19-5 yesterday. Mike Hartnett scored three times and added an assist, Stephan Park added a goal and Chad Timmons chipped in with an assist for the Panthers.

Meanwhile the TC3 Baseball team dropped a pair to Monroe C.C. by scores of 15-2 and 5-1 yesterday.

In Minor League Baseball, The Syracuse Chiefs split a double with Lehigh Valley yesterday, losing the first game 5-2 and winning the nightcap 3-2 in 8 innings. Meanwhile the Binghamton Mets beat New Hampshire 6-3 at home yesterday.

In Minor League Hockey, the Binghamton Senators lost to Adirondack 2-1 yesterday.

The New York Jets have in interest in Saints Running Back Chris Ivory, who was the leading rusher for New Orleans in 2010 but ran for just 217 yards last year and battled for playing time in a crowded backfield for the Saints. The Jets could lose a second round draft pick in a trade for Ivory, but they'd like to give up a lower round pick instead.
