The Syracuse Orange Men's Basketball team allowed the fewest points in an NCAA game in program history and routed Montana  81-34. Brandon Trische had 20 points, C.J. Fair scored 13 and Dajuan Coleman added 12. The Orange play the University of California Saturday night at about 9:40 in the round of 32 ... the 12th seed Golden Bears upset UNLV (5) 64-61 last night. We expect the pregame to begin at about 9pm Saturday night on Oldies 101.5.

Coming up today, the # 1 SUNY Cortland Men's Lacrosse team hosts Ithaca College. Cortland is 5-0 on the season. Game time has been moved up to 5pm at the stadium complex.

This weekend, the SUNY Cortland Baseball team will tangle with the New Paltz Hawks in their SUNYAC openers. The games have been moved from New Paltz to Cornell University's Hoy Field. The teams will play a single game on Saturday at 3pm, and a doubleheader Sunday at 11am. Hoy Field was recently renovated and has a field turf surface.

Yesterday in Women's Lacrosse, Freshman Erica Geremia tallied 9 points, and set a Cortland single-game record with 8 assists in a 15-5 win over St. Lawrence on the road. The Red Dragons are 5-1 on the season.

Congratulations to Sarah Culmo of the SUNY Cortland Women's Swimming and Diving team ... again ... she, and teammates Jessica Evans, M.K. Dugae and Michaela Auer combined for a 12th Place Finish, and Honorable Mention All-America status, in the 200 Yard Freestyle relay event at the NCAA Championships in Shenandoah Texas, with a time of 1:36.04 seconds in the consolation finals. The Quartet will partcipate in two more events on Saturday.
