The Syracuse Orange Men's Basketball team is in San Jose California for a date with the University of Montana Grizzlies in round 1 of the NCAA tournament ... game time is 10pm Eastern Time. It will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools. The Orange held practice yesterday.

North Carolina A & T and Liberty won " Play-In" games yesterday. There are two more on tap tonight.

Former Syracuse star Dion Waiters, now a guard with the Cleveland Cavaliers, is on the shelf for at least a week with a sore left knee, which could require surgery. Meanwhile, the Knicks list Carmelo Anthony as " questionable " for tonight's game at home vs. Orlando ... 'Melo has been dealing with Knee and Hamstring issues.

The Syracuse Men's Lacrosse team beat  Providence 18-9 yesterday ... with 14 players contributing at least one point. The Orange are 5-1 on the season with a 1-1 record in the Big East.

Meanwhile the # 2 Cornell Men's Lacrosse team was upset by Bucknell 9-8 yesterday and fell to 6-1 on the season.

Coming up on Friday, the # 1 SUNY Cortland Men's Lacrosse team hosts Ithaca College in a 7pm game. Cortland is 5-0 on the season.
