The Syracuse Men's Basketball team outscored Providence 43-16 in the first half and went on to win 84-59 over the Friars. C.J. Fair scored 20 and pulled down 10 rebounds and Michael Carter-Williams chipped in 15 points and 12 assists, James Southerland added 20 and Brandon Trische 14 for the 'Cuse ... who host Georgetown Saturday at 4pm  ... coverage on Oldies 101.5 begins with Orange Pregame at 3:30.

By the way, a national attendance record is expected to be set at the Dome on Saturday for the SU/Georgetown matchup.

Last night in the Big East, Georgetown tuned up for their showdown with Syracuse by handing Depaul a 90-66 loss, while St Johns beat South Florida 69-54. Tonight, it's U- Conn hosting Cincinnati.

The SUNYAC Final Four field is set for tomorrow and Saturday at Cortland. The host Red Dragons will meet 4th seed Oswego in the 8pm game, while the 6pm game features 2nd-seed Plattsburgh against 3rd-seed Geneseo. Friday night's winners meet for the tournament championship and automatic NCAA birth on Saturday at 4pm.

The SUNY Cortland Wrestling team, Ranked third in the nation, defeated 13th-ranked Ithaca College 22-16 last night. Cortland is 18-2 in duel matches this season ... the win total is a new program record.

Congratulations to SUNY Cortland Men's Ice Hockey Forward Chris Kaleta for being named to the ALL-SUNYAC Third Team yesterday. Kaleta tallied 15 goals, 9 of those on the Power Play, and 13 assists on the season.
