James Southerland's eligibility appeal was upheld by a panel at Syracuse University and he returned to the lineup in the Orange's 77-58 win vs. St Johns at the Dome yesterday. Southerland scored 13 points, C.J. Fair tallied 17 points and 9 rebounds, Michael Carter-Williams had 17 points, 8 assists and 6 steals and Brandon Trische contributed 16 points and 7 assists. The Orange extend their record Carrier Dome winning streak to 37 straight games and hand Coach Jim Boeheim his 35th 20-win season.

The Cornell Men's Basketball team beat Dartmouth 79-56 yesterday in a game that was pushed back a day because of the weekend snowstorm.
Tomorrow night at Corey Gym at SUNY Cortland, the Red Dragons Basketball teams host New Paltz in their final regular season home games. The Ladies continue their fight to finish in the top 4 in the SUNYAC, and the right to host a first round playoff game, against the Hawks, who have already clinched at least a share of the SUNYAC title. Meanwhile the Cortland can clinch at least a share of the SUNYAC title with a win. The Women's game begins at 6 and the Men tip around 8pm.
The High School Section III tournament pairings have been announced ... and the Cortland-Homer Golden Eagles, seeded 4th in Division 1 West, will take on Rome Free Academy , the top seed in the East, Friday night at Kennedy Arena in Rome in the first round.
