The Syracuse Men's Basketball team is in Providence for their next Big East matchup with the Friars tonight. The game starts at 7pm with Orange Pregame at 6:30.

In Big East Men's Basketball last night, U-Conn beat Depaul 99-78 and Pitt took care of Georgetown 73-45.

Syracuse Football Coach Scott Schafer has a vacancy to fill on his staff ... as Nathaniel Hackett, who was to be the Offensive Coordinator, will join Doug Marrone on the coaching staff of the Buffalo Bills ... the announcement was made yesterday.

In High School Sports Yesterday, Boys Basketball: Cortland Over ES-M 56-32, McGraw over Madison 73-54, Cincinnatus over Otselic Valley 54-53, Dryden over Groton 57-41 and Bishop Ludden over Homer 77-32. Girls Basketball: Lafayette over Cato-Meridian 69-63, Weedsport over Tully 45-33 and CBA over Cortland 73-43. In Girls Volleyball, Cato-Meridian over Fabius-Pompey 3-1 and Tully beat Weedsport 3-0. In Boys Hockey, it was Oswego over Ithaca 4-2 and Rome Free Academy beat Cortland/Homer 2-0. In Wrestling Morrisville-Eaton won easily over Fabius-Pompey,

SUNY Cortland's teams in action went 0-4 yesterday ... Men's Basketball lost at New Paltz 77-70, Women's Basketball also fell at New Paltz 59-56, Men's Hockey lost at Nazerath 4-3 and Women's Hockey fell at home to Hamilton 4-0.

SUNY Cortland's Athletics Department has announced that admission will be free to 10 upcoming home games/events ... which include Men's and Women's Basketball vs. Buffalo State (Friday night at 6 and 8) and Fredonia State (Saturday afternoon at 2 and 4), Men's Hockey vs. Utica College (Friday night at 7), Manhattenville (Saturday night at 7) and Hamilton (next Tuesday 1/15 at 7pm), Women's Hockey vs. Neumann (Friday and Saturday afternoons at 3) and Women's Gymnastics vs. Wilson (Sunday afternoon at 1).

The TC3 Men's Basketball team beat Finger Lakes Community College 75-56. The Lady Panthers fell to Finger Lakes 64-40 despite 12 rebounds from Dryden High Grad Audrey-Kate Ordway.

Congrats to TC3 Men's Soccer Players Sean Streb (Lansing High Grad) and Michael Raftu for being names Junior College Men's Division III Second Team All-Americans by the NSCAA.
