The Syracuse Men's Basketball team overcame poor shooting in the second half and staved off South Florida 55-44 yesterday on the road. Brandon Trische led the orange with 20 points, James Sutherland tallied 18 with 8 rebounds and C.J. Fair added 10 points and 10 rebounds. The Orange will travel to Providence for their next Big East matchup on Wednesday night. The game starts at 7pm with Orange Pregame at 6:30.

In Area College Men's Basketball yesterday, Jonathon Gray scored 19 points and led the Big Red of Cornell to a 68-60 win over American University.

There will be a new football coach at Syracuse as well. Doug Marrone is reportedly leaving to take the Head coaching job with the Buffalo Bills.

In American Hockey League Action, the B-Sens lost to Albany 5-2.
