The New York Jets closed the season with a 28-9 loss at Buffalo yesterday... with the offense managing just three Nick Folk Field Goals. Both teams finish at 6-10. Rumors have already started that Offensive Coordinator Tony Sparano will be fired and the status of General Manager Mike Tannenbuam and Coach Rex Ryan remain uncertain as well.

Despite a 42-7 rout of the Eagles yesterday, the New York Giants didn't get the help they needed to make the playoffs. The G-Men are out for the third time in four years.

We will have Syracuse Basketball today at 3pm vs.Central Connecticut ... with coverage at 2:30 on Oldies 101.5.

The SUNY Cortland Men's Basketball team wrapped up their Florida road trip with a 74-71 loss in overtime to NAIA Division 2 4th ranked Embry-Rdddle. Jesse Winter scored 30 in the loss, and finished with 58 points on the weekend (he had 28 in win over Ursinus on Saturday at the :Land Of Magic Classic). Cortland is now 8-2 on the season,

In other area Men's Hoops action from yesterday, Cornell beat Binghamton 79-77 and Lemoyne beat Mercy College 67-56.

In Ladies Hoops, Syracuse routed Boise State 87-48 and St. Thomas Aqinus edges Lemoyn 55-54 ... for the Dolphins, one-time Cortland High standout Maggie Brown had a " double-double " with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

In American Hockey League action tonight, the Syracuse Crunch travel to Scranton/Wilkes Barre while Binghamton hosts St. Johns.
