The New York Jets will close the season at Buffalo Sunday at 1pm ... with coverage on Oldies 101.5 beginning at noon. Mark Sanchez will start at Quarterback for the Jets. Greg McElroy is out with a concussion. The TV broadcast is blacked out in Central New York ... the Bills announced yesterday that 13,000 tickets were available for the game.

We will have Syracuse Basketball Saturday night vs. Alcorn State Saturday night at 7pm ... with Orange Pregame at 6:30 ... as Syracuse looks to bounce back from the upset loss against Temple, which resulted in the Orange slipping to # 9 in the most recent AP Poll and # 7 in the USA today/ESPN Poll. The Orange will play New Years Eve at 3pm vs.Central Connecticut ... with coverage at 2:30 on Oldies 101.5.

The Syracuse Football team held its last full practice at Columbia University yesterday in preparation for tomorrow's Pinstripe Bowl vs. West Virginia. The team spent a portion of last night at " Ground Zero ", the site of the former World Trade Center. West Virginia will be without starting Center Joe Madson, who is academically ineligible. the game starts at 3:15 pm at Yankee Stadium.

In American Hockey League action tonight, the Syracuse Crunch host the Norfolk Admirals ... and the game has an interesting twist ... as these teams basically traded NHL affiliations during the last off-season ... and so some of the Crunch's past stars, including popular forward Kyle Palmieri, return to their old home rink tonight.

The weather forced postponement of many high school sports tournaments yesterday ... many of which will be made up tonight and tomorrow.
