The New York Jets saw starting Quarterback Greg McElroy sacked 11 times and fell to the San Diego Chargers 27-17. The Jets will close the season at Buffalo Next Sunday at 1pm ... with coverage on Oldies 101.5 beginning at noon. The Bills fell to Miami 24-10 yesterday.

Also in the NFL, the Giants lost to the Ravens 33-14 last night and now need a win and some help to make the playoffs.

We will have Syracuse Basketball Saturday night vs. Alcorn State Saturday night at 7pm ... with Orange Pregame at 6:30 ... as Syracuse looks to bounce back from the upset loss against Temple.

Former Orange star Carmelo Anthony scored 19 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter as the Knicks rallied to defeat Minnesota 94-91. Elsewhere, the Nets got 22 from Joe Johnson ... leading 6 players in double figures ... en route to a 95-92 win over the 76'ers yesterday. Both the Knicks and Nets will play on Christmas Day as part of a 5 game schedule.

The death of former Major League infielder Ryan Freel is being felt in Central New York. Freel was drafted by the Blue Jays in 1995 and spent parts of three seasons at " AAA " Syracuse from 1999-2001.
