The Syracuse Orange Men's Basketball team went 10-28 from 3-point range and beat Long Beach State 84-53. C.J. Fair scored 16 points and added 13 rebounds while Michael Carter-Williams added 15 points and 10 assists. Rakeem Christmas, Brandon Triche and Trevor Cooney added 11 points apiece and gave coach Jim Boeheim his 897th career win. Syracuse will host Monmouth at 7pm Saturday night, with Orange Pregame beginning at 6:30 on Oldies 101.5.

Meanwhile, Syracuse Wide receiver Alec Lemon was a unanimous selection to the Big East First Team. He is joined there by Offensive Tackle Jason Pugh and Strong Safety Shamarko Thomas. Quarterback Ryan Nassib and Defensive End Brandon Sharpe were second team selections.

The Jets go to Jacksonville Sunday to take on the Jaguars at 1pm .... hear it on Oldies 101.5 starting at Noon. The Jets Signed Safety Antonio Allan from the practice squad and added Cornerback Donnie Fletcher to the practice squad.

In High School Bowling it was  the Fulton Boys and Girls sweeping Cortland and the Chittenango Boys and Girls beating Homer.

Plenty of Hockey this weekend in town .. tonight the " Golden Eagles " entertain West Genesee at the Sports Complex ... also, the SUNY Cortland Men's Hockey team hosts New England College tonight at 7 and tomorrow afternoon at 3pm.
