The Syracuse Orange Men's Basketball team will travel to Arkansas  for their next game Friday night at 8:30. Coverage begins at 8pm with Orange Pregame. Syracuse is # 6 in the latest AP Poll and # 5 in the latest USA Today / Coaches poll.

The Jets host Arizona Sunday at 1pm ... coverage on Oldies 101.5 begins with the Pregame show at noon.

The High School Winter Sports season is underway ... in scores from last night: Girls Basketball: Cortland over Jordan-Elbridge 80-17, Pulaski downed Tully 44-36 and Lafayette beat Tyburn Academy 59-19. In Boys Hoops it was Dryden over Groton 71-68. The Cortland High Wrestlers notched an easy win over Oneida. In Boys Hockey it was Ithaca over Ontario Bay 10-2. In Girls Volleyball ES-M downed Tully 3-2 and Onondaga beat Fabius-Pompey 3-1. In in Boys Swimming Dryden beat Odessa-Montour. 

The SUNY Cortland Women's and Men's Basketball teams played their first home games of the season last night against Ithaca College.  The Men had 4 p;layers reach double-figures and won 84-67 behind a career-high 21 points from Harrison Hefele. Meanwhile, the Women fell 53-33 and committed 34 turnovers in the contest. The Men are 3-0 and the Women are 2-2 headed into their SUNYAC openers with Potsdam and Plattsburgh this weekend at home.

Syracuse quarterback Ryan Nassib is rumored to be one the top 5 quarterbacks available for the upcoming NFL draft. Some project him to be a first or second round pick.

Nassib and his team should learn their bowl game fate in the next week or so. Sources are saying a return to the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium is a strong possibility.
