The Syracuse Orange Men's Basketball team will travel to Arkansas  for their next game Friday night at 8:30. Coverage begins at 8pm with Orange Pregame. Syracuse is # 6 in the latest AP Poll and # 5 in the latest USA Today / Coaches poll.

The Jets host Arizona Sunday at 1pm ... coverage on Oldies 101.5 begins with the Pregame show at noon.

The High School Winter Sports season is beginning to gear up ... notable contests tonight include Cortland High's Girls Basketball taking on Jordan-Elbridge ,the Cortland Wrestlers are in Oneida, The Tully Girls Volleyball team is at ES-M and the Ithaca High Boys Hockey team is at Ontario Bay.

The SUNY Cortland Women's and Men's Basketball teams play their first home games of the season tonight against Ithaca College. For the Women, it will also be part of a celebration of " Title IX ", the Landmark Legislation that ended discriminating practices in College Athletics. As part of the Celebration, SUNY Cortland would like to see more people in the stands than has ever attended a Women's Sports event at the College. Game Time is 6pm. Tickets are just 4 dollars for Adults, 3 dollars for Seniors and non-SUNY Cortland students. Those in the SUNY Cortland Community with a valid college I.D. and children ages 12 and under get in free. The Men's game will follow at about 8pm.

SUNY Cortland Senior Midfielder Maria DiFato of the Women's Lacrosse Team has been chosen as the Preseason Division III Women's Player Of the Year by Lacrosse Magazine. On the Men's side, Junior Midfielder Joe Slavik of the Men's team was a nominee for D-3 Men's Player Of the Year and Cornell's Rob Pannell was a D-1 Men's Player Of the Year nominee.
