Due to damage caused by Super storm Sandy, SUNY Cortland's Football game with William Paterson has been canceled and will not be rescheduled. Cortland finishes as the outright Champion of the NJAC (New Jersey Athletic Conference) and will begin NCAA Postseason play on November 17th ... up first, next Saturday ... Cortaca.

Another NJAC Football game that has been canceled is Kean @ Rowan ... No word on Brockport and Montclair State or TCNJ at Morrisville.

The Red Dragons Men's and Women's Soccer teams have dates in their tournament Semi-Finals today ... The Ladies will play Brockport at 11am at Roberts Wesleyan (moved due to storm) while the Men play the hosts at 11am in Plattsburgh (also moved due to the storm). The winners of the semi-finals meet Saturday at 1pm (both tournaments) for the Championships and automatic births in the NCAA playoffs.

Meanwhile, in the High School Boys Soccer playoffs, Skaneateles fell to Cazenovia 3-1 ... Caz  advances to the Section III Class "B" finals.

The Syracuse Men's Basketball team beat Division II Pace 99-63 last night in the first of two exhibition games for the Orange. James Southerland led 6 double-figure scorers with 18 points, along with 6 rebounds. The Orange play Bloomsburg in their final preseason tuneup Sunday afternoon before opening the season next Friday at San Diego State. Oldies 101.5 is your Cortland County home for Orange Basketball this season.

In College Men's Hockey, the Big Red of Cornell and Colgate Raiders begin a home-at-home series at Starr Rink in Hamilton tonight. The teams play at Cornell's Lynah Rink tomorrow night.

Meanwhile the SUNY Cortland Men's Hockey team plays at Geneseo and Brockport this weekend.
