The Section III Class "B" Football playoffs begin tonight  . Homer is the # 2 seed in the West Division and will face # 3 East Camden at Butts Field at 7pm ... Oldies 101.5 will carry the game starting at 6:45 with the Pregame show.

Also tonight, Cortland travels to Oneida for Section III Class "B" quarterfinal matchup.

A showdown of two of three undefeated teams in the NJAC takes takes place in Cortland tomorrow afternoon, with the Red Dragons hosting the Profs of Rowan University Saturday at noon ... coverage on Oldies 101.5 begins at 11:20 this week ... as it will be c-club Hall of Fame weekend and seven new members will be inducted into the shrine. Rowan is Ranked # 22 in the Latest AFCA poll and 17th in the latest D3Football-Dot-Com poll.

Elsewhere, Syracuse will host U-Conn in a Big East tilt, in what will likely be former Coach Paul Pasqualoni's last trip to the Dome ... Coach "P' is now the Huskies Head Coach.

The Jets will travel to Foxboro Mass to take on the New England Patriots this Sunday at 4:25 with the Pregame at 3:30pm.

Jets Running Backs Bilal Powell and Joe McKnight sat out yesterday's practice with injuries and are uncertain for Sunday's game ... Coach Rex Ryan says that using Tim Tebow at Running Back is a possibility.

If you are starved for Hockey, you can catch Cornell's Men's team in action tonight against the U.S. National Development Program.

Also, in AHL action, Hershey is at Binghamton and Syracuse is at Albany.

In High School action from Thursday, In Girls Soccer Cortland beat Homer 1-0. McGraw and Madison played to a scoreless tie, Tully Shut Out Onondaga 5-0 and Manlius-Pebble Hill downed Lafayette 7-1. In Cross Country the ES-M boys and girls ran by Homer.'

The Yankees committed 2 errors and managed just two hits as the Tigers beat them 8-1 to complete a sweep of the ALCS. Detroit awaits the winner of the NLCS ... with Game 5 in St. Louis and the Cardinals up 3-1. St Louis is looking to return to the World Series after winning it last year.
