The Section III Class "B" Football playoffs begin Friday night . Homer is the # 2 seed in the West Division and will face # 3 East Camden at Butts Field at 7pm ... Oldies 101.5 will carry the game starting at 6:45 with the Pregame show.
A showdown of two of three undefeated teams in the NJAC takes takes place in Cortland Saturday, with the Red Dragons hosting the Profs of Rowan University Saturday at noon ... coverage on Oldies 101.5 begins at 11:20 this week ... as it will be c-club Hall of Fame weekend and seven new members will be inducted into the shrine. Rowan is Ranked # 22 in the Latest AFCA poll and 17th in the latest D3Football-Dot-Com poll.

In High School Sports from Tuesday: Boys Soccer: J-D beat Cortland 3-1, Fowler shut out Homer 3-0. Tully blasted Cato-Meridian 7-0 and Fabius-Pompey whitewashed Faith Heritage 2-0. In Girls Soccer, J-D blanked Cortland 3-0, Homer over Syracuse 5-1, McGraw beat Stockbridge Valley 4-0, Cincinnatus shut out Madison 2-0 and Tully edged Manlius-Pebble Hill 2-1. In Girls Volleyball, Homer won 3-0 over Fowler.
The SUNY Cortland Men's Soccer team blanked Well College 4-0 at the Stadium Complex last night.
In the AHL, Binghamton knocked off Rochester 3-1 ...
Rumors of a settlement of the NHL's labor dispute took a positive turn yesterday, with the league's Owners announcing a proposal which would split Hockey-related revenue 50/50 and would salvage a full 82-game season starting on November 2nd. The players have yet to respond.
