Another busy weekend of Football on the radio starts tonight, as Marcellus travels to Homer for the final regular-season week of high School Football ... it's also Senior Night at Homer ... coverage on Oldies 101.5 starts with the pregame show at 6:45 ... Tomorrow, SUNY Cortland hosts The College at Brockport at 1pm with a pregame start at 12:25. and on Sunday, The Jets will host Indianapolis at 1pm ... with a Noon pregame start on the radio.

Also tonight, the Cortland High Football team hosts Chittenango on Senior Night ... it's a 7pm start.

Jets Guard Matt Slauson was fined $ 10,000.00 by the NFL for a peel-back block on Texans Linebacker Brian Cushing which resulted in Cushing tearing his A.C.L.. Texans Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips called the block
" Unnecessary ".

The Yankees fell to Baltimore 2-1 in 13 innings last night, on an RBI double from the O's J.J. Hardy ... the ALDS is even at 2-2 with game 5 today in New York. The winner will play Detroit in the ALCS starting tomorrow.

In High School Boys Soccer yesterday it was ES-M over Homer 2-1 and Fulton over Cortland 3-0. In Girls Soccer, ES-M and Homer Played to a 1-1 tie, as did Fabius-Pompey and Tully, McGraw beat Deruyter 3-0 and Tyburn Academy beat Lafayette 3-1. In Girls Volleyball Homer defeated Phoenix 3-1.

The AHL season opens tonight ... the Syracuse Crunch open the at Rochester tonight and will be home tomorrow night vs. Hershey. The Binghamton Senators will open up tomorrow night at home vs. Scranton/Wilkes Barre ...

... This as the NHL players and owners met yesterday, did not discuss anything but secondary issues and made no plans to meet again.
