In Minor League Baseball last night, in the International League, The Chiefs are blanked by the Lehigh Iron Pigs 6 to 0. They play again tonight at 6:35.

The Auburn Doubledays also lost yesterday in NY-Penn League action to the State College Spikes 5-2 at Falcon park in Auburn. They host Mahoning Valley tonight at 7:05.

In Major League Baseball action the Yankees over the Blue Jays 10 to 4. The Red Sox over the Indians 3 to 2 and the Mets get blanked by the Braves 4 to 0.

In NFL Pre-season action, both the Jets and Giants lost their pre-season openers. The Jets fell to Cincinnati 17-6. The giants fell to Jacksonville by 1 for a score of 32 to 31.

In Olympic action,
The Men's USA Basketball team beat Argentina 109 to 83, they will now face Spain on Sunday.

Tully's Lopez lomong runs the 5000 meter final today at 2:30.

The US has won its first gold medal in these games for wrestling as James Borrough won the 75 kilogram free style.

The US Women set a record last night in the 4x100 meter relay, Carmelita Jeter crossed finished in a world record time of 40.82 seconds, thats our first victory in this event since '96.

Tiger woods shoots at 71 in the PGA Championship and now is in a three way tie for the lead with Vijay Singh and Carl Petterson
