The Jets practiced for the final time in public today at SUNY Cortland before an enthusiastic crowd. The team will hold a closed practice tomorrow before packing Camp Cortland for the year and heading back to their Florham Park NJ facility to prepare for the preseason showdown with the Giants Saturday night at Met Life Stadium ... coverage begins at 6pm on Oldies 101.5.

The Jets made a roster move yesterday ... waiving Cornerback Devon Torrence.

Meanwhile, the status of Giants Defensive Tackle Shaun Rogers is up in the air for Saturday night's tilt. Rogers is being treated for a blood clot in his left calf.

Yankees pitcher Andy Pettite says the latest x-rays on his injured leg look better, but he says another setback could cost him his season due to not having enough arm strength. Manager Joe Girardi is optimistic about pettite's return.
