The New York Jets have officially ended training camp in Cortland. Those who remained were expected to leave this morning for their Florham Park facility, where preseason activities will be based going forward. Head Coach Rex Ryan thanked everyone for a great stay in the Crown City yesterday at his press conference, saying that all from university officials to the community to the facilities were " terrific ".

The Jets play the Giants in preseason game 2 tomorrow night at 7pm at Met Life Stadium. Coverage begins at 6pm with the pregame show on Oldies 101.5.

Meanwhile, local high school and SUNY Cortland football is less than two weeks away. The Cortland vs. Homer game will kick off our 22nd year of High School Football coverage on Thursday night August 30th and the Red Dragons open up at Buffalo State on September 1st. Oldies Radio will bring you Red Dragons Football for our 7th season.

Beginning Monday (8/20) the " Red Dragons Report ", spotlighting all SUNY Cortland teams, returns following the Noon News.

The Mets completed the deal which brought Catcher Kelly Shoppach to New York from Boston by shipping Pitcher Pedro Beato to the Red Sox. The Mets meet the Washington Nationals in the nation's capital while the Red Sox are in New York to begin another rivalry series with the Yankees.
