The New York Jets once again failed to take it to house and settled for 4 field goals, three by Nick Folk, in a 17-12 loss to the Carolina Panthers. Both Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow threw an interception in the defeat. Offensive Coordinator Tony Sparano said after the game that the offense is " still vanilla " and said that they would have " all cylinders firing " by week 1. The Jets have one final preseason tune up against the Eagles this Thursday night in Philadelphia.

As the deadline to cut NFL rosters from 90-75 nears, the Jets announced seven cuts yesterday, Notables included Wide Receivers Dexter Jackson and Raymond Webber and Safety Marcus Lott. 

Our High School and College Football coverage begins this week with the Cortland/Homer game as our High School Football game of the week Thursday night August 30th at 7pm (6:45 Pregame) and the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons open at Buffalo State on Saturday September 1st at noon (11:25 pregame).

TC3 had a touch day yesterday ... with their Men's Soccer team losing to Bunker Hill C.C. 2-1, Women's Soccer falling to Holyoke C.C. 1-0 and Volleyball dropping a match to Finger Lakes C.C. 3-0.
