In high school football action last night, Homer and Cortland High both blanked their opponents, Homer over Oneida 6-0, and Cortland High over Fowler 27-0. Tully won big over Hannibal 50-20. In boys soccer, McGraw over Stockbridge Valley 4-0, and Tully over Fabius-Pompey 1-0. In girl's soccer action, Cortland falls to Fulton 1-0, and Tully over McGraw 1-0.

In men's soccer last night, Cortland State over previously unbeaten Plattsburgh 4-3 in overtime. The Red Dragons have now won five in a row. Cortland State Football is taking on Montclair State at 1pm at the Stadium Complex. We will have this game for beginning at 12:25 with our pre-game show. Syracuse University football has a bye, they play Pittsburgh Friday at 7pm.

In Major League Baseball action last night, Cincinnati Reds Pitcher Homer Bailey threw a no-hitter as the Reds won 1-0 over Pittsburgh. Tom Browning was the last Red to throw a no-hitter back in 1988. The record for most no-hitters in the modern era is now tied for the 3rd time, the first two being in 1990 and 1991. The Yankees over Toronto 11-4, Baltimore over the Boston 9-1, and the Mets won over Atlanta 3-1. The Yankees are now just one game in front of Baltimore.

In golf at the Ryder Cup, the US got a solid start to the first day as they are up 5-3 over Europe. They continue at 9am this morning.
